Spanish women are the most flirtatious on the Web, according to a study by "Badoo.com", a social site specializing in people meeting people covering 240 countries and 18 languages. The US is among the fifteen countries whose women are least flirtatious in the world, according to the study. Only women from Ecuador flirt less. Spanish women flirt twice as much as Americans, "making the first move" with the opposite sex, according to Badoo's analysis of more than 90 million contacts made on the site. While Spain comes first in the "World League of Flirts", Poles are second and Dominicans are third. The Italians and the Argentineans fill out the top five places. Latin countries (Spanish, Portuguese or Italian speakers) occupy eight of the top ten spots. "Most wait until men make the first move", says Lloyd Price, marketing director of Badoo, which has more than 80 million registered users. "But we want to know if women in some countries are more inclined to take the initiative than others, and what this says about those societies", added Price. Canada is the only English-speaking country to feature in the top ten, in ninth place. The Badoo study discovered that women from Anglo-Saxon countries are generally much less "flirtatious" than their Latin counterparts.
