SDQ Last Weekend

Just a few quick notes on my three days in La Capital this past weekend.

First and foremost, my first night there, last Thursday night, I saw just three streetwalkers on Independencia. One was hiding in a food stand, dodging out every once in a while. One I had seen before with OnetoSix and frequents in front of the Hotel Mystik. And the last, on my way walking home, was just downright fugly.

But it reminds me of the barren landscape after Mt. St. Helen's where the little sprigs of green start popping up with the promise of more life to come. By my third, and last, night, there were 8-10 chicas scattered throughout Independencia.

I hit 305 all three nights and it was the hottest I have seen it. At least 25-30 chicas every night and lots of talent to chose from. Friday night, Satin Dolls was looking good also.

Stayed at Hotel Jaguar which is my home away from home in La Capital. But be aware, there is still construction going on.

Found a great cheap restaurant just 3 blocks away called Luis Phillipe. Owned by a Frenchman who is married to a Dominicana, it operated as a French restaurant for some time but apparently, they weren't making a go of it so they coverted to a Dominican fixed plate menu. Lunch is 80P and dinner is 100P. Four or five fixed plates (pollo guisado, mollejas, higado de pollo, higado de res, chuleta) with a choice of a side; habichuelas con arroz, mora, tostones o vegetales. Real good food.

Piano Bar around the corner is still closed for remodeling but the girls in GBP said it would be re-opening this week or next.

It is a GBP style casa located on the east side of Nunez de Caceres about two blocks south of the Autopista Duarte (the Kennedy). Stay away from the intersection of Nunez and Kennedy, the construction traffic jam is phenomenally bad.

Pink Pony is upstairs over a Banca Virgilia (the stairs are on the left). Opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 3 a.m. on weekends. The chicas work in two shifts. Rates are 1500P for 1/2 hour, 2000P for one hour and 3500P for takeout. There are 3-4 rooms on site. Didn't think to ask if they were open on Sundays (GBP closes) but good alternative for an early release on the way to the airport because GBP doesn't open til 2 p.m.

My friend and I were there around 2 p.m. and there were 5-6 chicas. We chatted with a couple cute sisters, the older a blondie was kinda hot. Just before we left, a hot oriental spinner came in but didn't get a chance to chat her up.

That is the place that advertises under the name mejor divas. I think I posted about it a while back. The asian girl was there a few months back during my only visit. There was also a chica that used to work at Shilo. . . haven't been to shilo in dog years. . .I assume it is still open.

I was on Independencia as well on Thursday and it has definitely changed. I had my customary espresso at Manolo and I didn't see a single working Chica from that vantagepoint.

I did wander down to Lapsus just for old times sake. The guy who used to be the Maitre D' was at the corner seat of their new bar (great renovation, btw) and I don't know what happened to him but he appears to have aged 20 years over the past 5.

I ran into an old favorite, Jennifer (tall, dark & lovely with ticklish tetas) whom I hadn't seen in a couple years. According to her she was wifed up with some guy for a couple years until he started whipping her ass and she broke out. She's put on a couple pounds since I last saw her but it all fell in the right places. We hung out for a few hours. I hadn't planned to do any smashing that night but it's Santo Domingo and if you come out the room you'd better be ready for anything.

It was chica friendly when I was there but that was at least a year ago. Better double check. Lot's of cabanas in that part of town though. It is in Santo Domingo Este, on the other side of the river from Gazcue and Girl's House. Usually takes 25-30 minutes in the late night between the two and during the day maybe an hour depending on traffic. About a 300P cab ride from Gazcue.

I'll try to get some pix out this weekend. And possibly the convoluted story of my failed social experiment.

I use PIXresizer. It is a free download and you can resize all your pics at once. Very easy.

I just tried Pixresizer, and you're absolutely correct.... It's stupid easy to use.

Now, if only we can convince Koki to practice some "coitus interruptus" an try it out, we may finally see some pics.

BTW, Koki, when you use this program, you need to have a separate directory where the resized pictures will be saved.

Create a new directory in the same folder where you store your pictures. Name it "resizedpics" or something like that.

The program doesn't let you save resized pics with the original name in the original folder. That's good-you won't lose the originals.

Piano bar on pasteur? I think it is permanently closed. i drove by it this week. There was a sign for a spaghetti and parilla restaurant. i didnt go inside but the door was wide open, well lit, and there was a hostess out front so i dont think it is a front for a new casa....

i talked the new owner/madam before i left in october and she sounded really cool, energetic, and sexy. i thought she was going to do a good job with the girls.... oh well
