TV host Freddy Beras Goico is in a delicate state of health, according to Listin Diario. He is being treated in the intensive care unit of the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. His son, Giancarlo Beras, told the newspaper: "My father is stable and alive. Any rumor is not true," he said to dispute rumors that Beras Goico had died. Freddy Beras was taken to a hospital in New York on 5 November after several days at Cedimat in Santo Domingo after suffering complications from an operation. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2006.
Listin Diario reported that several relatives have traveled to New York to join Freddy Beras' wife, Pilar and their son Giancarlo.
