Former Minister of Tourism Felix Jimenez's Jarabacoa Country Club is making good progress. An inaugural event is planned for 27 November. Johnny Ventura and Familia Andres are booked to perform on the opening night. The new Country Club has a 2,000-seat amphitheater. It is planned as an entertainment center, with a restaurant, bar, discotheque and dance hall, a movie theater, halls for conferences and meetings, tennis courts and children's play area. The Country Club is carrying out a membership drive. The country club is built on an area of 80,000.
