In the first 17 days of this month, debit card and credit card operations carried out at ATMs and processed by Cardnet and presented to the clearing house for payment in the Central Bank, reached RD$835.9 million, for a daily average of RD$49.1 million. The number of transactions was 594,390, according to data from the Central Bank. The average amount withdrawn by day during this period grew to RD$49.1 million, but the greatest movements were recorded on 2 November, for RD$181.5 million, and on 16 November for a value of RD$138.4 million. On these two days there were 122,958 transactions and 101,853 transactions respectively. According to statistics from the Central Bank, the total amount of transactions as of 17 November 2010 reached RD$15.762 billion, which represents an average of RD$1.4 billion a month or an average of RD$47.7 per day, if the full 11 months are taken into consideration. There were 11,503,178, transactions during this period for a monthly average of 1,045,743 per month and a daily average of 34,858.
