Attorney General trains investigators

The Attorney General has opened the remodeled Santiago District Attorney offices, and said that the Justice Department is providing a strong response to organized crime and announced the training of a team of career prosecutors in investigative criminal procedures. Radhames Jimenez Pena said that the District Attorney and the prosecutors who will be working in the newly remodeled offices were prepared to deal with any investigation that comes up. He noted that 98% of the prosecutors who work in Santiago are career professionals. The Santiago District Attorney, Yenni Berenice Reynoso, told reporters that the money to remodel the offices came from the fees collected for issuing good conduct certificates and other services.
