The District Attorney for the National District, Alejandro Moscoso Segarra, has revealed that there is a possibility that the federal authorities in Puerto Rico could draw up charges against other Dominicans who may be implicated in Jose David Figueroa Agosto's network, including individuals who are currently in jail. Diario Libre reports that Moscoso said that if the current investigations bring to light some evidence that could implicate anyone else of responsibility, they might also bring charges. "What the Grand Jury did was present a charge against Eddy Brito for this moment". Moscoso Segarra said that there is also a chance that people not currently under arrest might be revealed as members of Figueroa Agosto's network. He said that the prosecutor's office has a copy of the indictment against Brito. "Now what we are going to discuss is what is more convenient: if they begin the process of extradition or if we process him in the Dominican Republic". Moscoso Segarra stated that a discussion would take place between the Dominican and the Puerto Rican authorities next week.
Eddy Brito was included on a list of 17 people implicated in Figueroa Agosto's network, which also included one of the Puerto Rican capo's brothers. The group was indicted on 12 counts for conspiracy to commit drug trafficking.
