Schools get milk again

The Minister of Education, Melanio Paredes, has expressed his disappointment at the slow pace of work by the commission investigating hundreds of food poisoning cases affecting school children after drinking milk supplied in the school breakfast program. Yet, despite not knowing the causes of the food poisoning cases, Paredes said that it was highly likely that the milk would start being distributed again today, Monday. According to El Nuevo Diario, the milk will not go to all schools. Paredes added that he believed that the whole school breakfast program should be removed from the Ministry of Education, either by creating a new agency or through the use of one of the government's social service agencies.
