I tried to find the price in the pics of the menus that I took but I do not see it. I think it was around 600 pesos.

Yep. . . .most ribs dinners are between 600 and 700 pesos. Definitely on the expensive side but very good. They used to have beef ribs which are my favorites from Tony Romas but I think I was the only one wheo ordered em and they are off the menu in the DR. I can still get em in the states etc.

Its interesting see how much food costs in all these restaurants. For a dominican on a meager salary of 7000 or less pesos a month eating out at these places must be a real treat to them.

These restaurants are not in areas that the common people live. There are many 10,000's of wealthy Dominicans in the capital.

The same goes for Korea. High-end restaurants such as Tony Roma's, T.G.I. Friday's or Outback Steakhouse are located in rich areas.

If you drive 15 minutes away from these rich areas, you will see thousands of people who cannot even afford to pay rent or buy a bowl of noodles.

When I went to Tony Roma's, I saw the Dominican customers with nice fancy cars (e.g. Lexus or a BMW) and wearing much better clothing than me.

Like Tony Roma's? No... but there's a few decent restaurants, just no chains. I don't think there are any on the North Coast, except a few fast foosd places, Burger King, etc. For Steaks, El Toro is the best by far in Sosua, and is actually very good. There's a place in Playa Dorada, about 30 minutes from Sosua, called The Roadhouse, or somethig like that...haven't eaten there, but it looks like a TGIFridays, Bennigan's, type of place...

Just an FYI. A few months back I sat outside at the Tony Romas on sarasota nd at least a dozen street girls walked by. they were strolling sarasota pretty much between Romas and churchill.

Cheeno did ya make it to tabu? It is right outside Hotel Embajador. Much better than the dump behind the jaragua. Same owner. if you stay at Hotel Delta it is a short walk to Embajador. Tabu can be hit or miss but there were some decent chicas last time I went.

Long time no see buddy!!!

Unfortunately, I did not make it to Tabu. I'll try and visit the place in my next trip.

Here are two places where the streetwalkers hang out at.

1. Stand in front of the front entrance of the Delta Hotel.

2. Make a right turn.
http://news.insearchofchicas.org/forum/imagehosting/581145b019cc4c350.jpg

3. Late at night, a few of the chicas will hang out at the corner that says "General de Suguros".

3. You keep walking and pass this bookstore/school.

Very good question.

A lot of rich fuckers in the DR. If you go to the Acropolis Mall, Hard Rock Cafe, Bella Vista Mall, you will see many girls driving BMWs, MBs, and carrying Gucci or Coach bags.

I saw one Dominican lady play Roulette at the VIP room at the Hilton Casino. She was winning 500,000 pesos. But within two hours, she was down!!!

No problem.... become a Dominican from a family that was connected in the Trujillo administration....get a job with the government...particularly in politics...bank all the bonuses you get based on the number of constituants in your district, then pocket all the money your district gets that was earmarked for public works or welfare programs.

Or sell drugs.

Or marry someone named Brugal.

Or build something like Cap Cana.

Or (if you're a chica) marry Miguel Cabrera or Albert Pujols.

Cabrera is the next Albert Pujols. He is young, can hit, can play D, and is not a troublemaker such as Bonds. Cabrera is the total package.
