President Leonel Fernandez is scheduled to travel to Mar de Plata, Argentina on Thursday to attend the 20th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government on the theme of Education for Social Inclusion that starts on Friday. From there he will travel to Brazil and the United States for meetings. The Presidency website reports that Fernandez will attend the opening of the summit at the Auditorium of the Provincial Palace of the Arts and a photography exhibition by Daniel Mordzinski to be followed by a concert by the Ibero-American Youth Orchestra. In the evening, he will attend the welcome reception hosted by the President of Argentina, Cristina Kirchner. He has also scheduled a breakfast meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and King Juan Carlos on Saturday.

On Saturday he is due to visit Manaus for meetings with Brazilian business representatives. On Sunday, he will fly to Miami for meetings with business representatives, returning to the DR on Monday evening.
