The Dominican Republic's new Attorney General, Radhames Jimenez, is urging all members of the Justice Department to join in the fight against drug trafficking being promoted by the government. He said that he is meeting with the prosecutors from the appeals courts today and with the District Attorneys on Wednesday. Jimenez said that he would instruct the officials to put all their energies into the fight against drugs.
As if in consonance with the Attorney General, the National Office for Drug Control (DNCD) announced the arrest of 12 well-known drug dealers at ten drug spots around Santo Domingo.
