El Dia reports that with few exceptions, most households have been cooperative with pollsters visiting to gather information for the 9th Population and Housing Census. The pollsters' work was helped by many people who had downloaded the form from the Internet, filled it out and had it ready for the pollsters with the required information.

Some of the extreme cases reported, though, included one family in the Naco neighborhood that reportedly refused to answer to questions from pollsters they said looked like Haitians, for fear of cholera. In the Mirador Norte neighborhood another family preferred to answer via their building's intercom. Pollsters also reported that when arriving at the dwellings many were empty, with the family out, and in some cases the presence of only a housekeeper on hand who could not give all the needed information. The 9th Population and Housing Census is under way and the organizing National Statistics Office (ONE) expects the process to accelerate over the weekend, when more people are at home.
