As of 1 December, wages for employees at the Central Electoral Board (JCE) are up, as well as the cost of JCE wedding services. The cost of getting married for residents is now RD$6,000 for those who need a civil official to go off premises. The cost of weddings for foreigners is now at an all-time high, with a fee of RD$15,000 to get married at a civil registry office and RD$20,000 if the judge has to leave the premises. Civil registry officers will receive 30% of the tariffs paid for weddings when they leave the office.
