City Councilors to make more than RD$250,000

City councilors in the municipality of Santo Domingo East are planning to approve a RD$151 million budget for themselves in 2011. As reported in El Dia, the councilors have included RD$250,000 in wages plus other perks in their budget. The councilors' sole function is to approve or reject decisions by the city government.
