Cholera in Elias Pina traced to water

While announcing an increase in preventive measures along the Haitian frontier, the Minister of Public Health, Bautista Rojas Gomez said that the authorities have traced the origin of the cholera cases in the town of Banica in Elias Pina province to poor quality water that was consumed by humans. So far, four cases of cholera have been reported in the town. The minister issued a call to the local water authorities to be extra vigilant with regard to the quality of the drinking water.
