The navy of the Dominican Republic and Colombia will work together to improve maritime controls, implementing international treaties. Naval chiefs from the DR and Colombia, Vice Admiral Homero Luis Lajara Sola and Rear Admiral Leonardo Santamaria Gaitan signed the agreement at the 27 de Febrero Naval Base. They agreed on mechanisms for exchanging information on maritime traffic, port activities and related activities, as reported in Listin Diario.
