ProConsumer inspectors have started the process of verification to establish whether the GLP stations are complying with the requirement of installing scales so consumers could be sure they are receiving what they had paid for. On Thursday inspectors visited GLP stations in Santo Domingo, Moca and Santiago. The inspectors checked that the readings on the new scales were at the same level registered on their monitoring equipment.
The ProConsumer Department ordered the installation of the new scales after inspectors found that several stations had been shortchanging consumers.
