The Roncierto New Year's Eve tropical music concert is planned for the Juan Baron Plaza. But Telemicro, Channel 5 is announcing that there will also be a live merengue, salsa and bachata concert at a stage at the intersection of the Malecon and Maximo Gomez. Performing there will be Johnny Ventura, Pochy Familia, Jose Virgilio Pena Suazo, Rubby Perez, Krisspy, Juliana, Tito Swing, Tulile and bachata stars Luis Vargas, Luis Miguel del Amargue and El Chaval de la Bachata. There will also be salsa with Sexappeal. The show starts at 9pm on 31 December and will run strong through 9am of 1 January.
