The Police arrested a 22-year old accused of stabbing to death two store owners and their 8-year old grandson in Bonao. Juan Manuel Torres Zapata (Samuelito) admitted to the police he committed the murder to rob the family. Leoncio Guzman Nunez, 72 years, and his wife Ana Elana Batista, 61 years, and 8-year old grandchild Joan Manuel Nunez Mateo were killed at their home in the Mejoramiento Social barrio of Bonao. Torres Zapata (Samuelito) was employed by the family.
