Between July and November of this year, small companies were the commercial entities that gave their employees the most generous pay raises, according to a report by Macros Consulting, which said that the raises were 10.7% above 2009 salaries. Listin Diario said that this was 1.3% more than the medium-sized businesses and 1.2 points higher than the large entities. The report said that length of service and merit were the main factors in the raises. A total of 204 companies were surveyed and it seems that the areas that received the highest raises were business, operations and administration, while logistics, finance and management received the lowest percentages. Employees in the legal departments, human resources and systems management were given the average increase (about 10%).
