A commission of prosecutors is investigating the messages that were sent and received by Sobeida Felix Morel in her cell in the Najayo Women's Jail. Last week two BlackBerry devices and an iPod were confiscated. She used two hands-free attachments to listen to music and control her accounts in a notebook and a telephone agenda, as reported in Diario Libre. Felix Morel is now banned from receiving any visitors.
Nonetheless, the penitentiary authorities have not established how these devices got into the hands of Figueroa Agosto's lover.
The inmate is accused of money laundering and is being held in a "maximum security" cell, together with an inmate called Berta Lissi Pie.
