The cancellations of international flights due to the regional snowstorms affected travel plans of 8,000 passengers in the DR. JetBlue, American, Delta, Continental cancelled about 25 flights, affecting primarily travelers that had come to spend the holidays with relatives in the DR and were returning to work.
Passengers are recommended to contact the airlines by telephone or the Internet prior to traveling to the airport.
