PUERTO PLATA, Dominican Republic.- Antinarcotics (DNCD) agents arrested two Canadians in the local airport as they were about to board a Thursday night flight back to their country with eight kilos of cocaine.

Yves Debois, 46, and Christian Rioux, 28, each had more than 300 bags weighing 7.93 kilos taped to leotards beneath their trousers,

DNCD spokesman Ramon A. Rodriguez said the investigation may lead to other arrests in the botched drug smuggling.

The airport X-ray machine detected the drug on the foreigners as they passed through the security checks prior to boarding West Jet flight 2617 to Toronto.

I would think that the drugs should be detectable with an x-ray as they are a different density than the flesh and should appear as a discernable anomaly.

When I left POP in December before I went to get my passport stamped a beautiful DNCD agent started asking me several questions. Never happened before. Then when I was ready to board the plane thay pulled me aside and searched my bag very good, patted me down and then apologized for the inconvienence.

If you read Dominican Today, lots of drugs are passing through the airport going to both Puerto Rico and Miami.

a gram used to cost about 80$ when i was a teenager 20 years ago so thats 640 000$ dollars 100% pure so i'd say the street value should be over a million dollars with all the shit they put in it

Well, their plan didn't work out as they had hoped. While they were on the plane back from Jamaica the balloons disentegrated inside there stomachs exposing the heroine. They all began to get violently ill on the plane. One died on the plane and the other two died shortly after landing.

These poor dudes paid for this scheme with their lives and also died an agonizing death.
