JetBlue, American and Delta have just declaired war for the JFK-STI market! JetBlue fares are $260! American is going for $180! Delta has the lowest fare at $150!! These are round trip with all fees and taxes included!

Mongers, get on the web and put in your dates now. The lowest fares will go fast..

Continental also has a $260 flight from EWR to STI during the latter part of May. Very tempting.

If I would have posted that headline 3 weeks ago I wouldn't feel so "foolish". Now I know how the guy who wrote"DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN" felt. I apolgize to the board for any anxiety I may have caused the members due to my error. Anyway, something good has come of this. I will definitely be going to the Dominican Republic. I have to use up all the extra viagra and condoms I ordered.

I'm thinking of a Late July/Aug trip to SDQ. Fare is $358 on aa.com . I have to find something cheaper. I plan another 5 day trip, with possible side trip to Haiti.

The north coast of Haiti is just fine and as safe as the DR. I just wouldn't go to Port-a-Prince!

DT, there are no places in haiti as safe as DR. This does not come from me...it comes from the Haitians.

CRIME: There are no "safe areas" in Haiti. Crime, already a problem, has mushroomed in recent years...

My son and his mom are going. I would meet up with them. I think it would be an interesting trip, especially with someone who speaks the language. Haiti has a strong culture, beautiful people to go with the poverty. I'd jump at the chance to check it out under the right circumstances.
