The Ministry of Labor, in compliance with Law 139-07 which covers the moveable holidays for the Dominican Republic reported that Saturday 1 January would not be changed. Thursday, 6 January, the Feast of the Three Kings, will be moved to Monday 10 January. The Feast of Our Lady of High Grace (Altagracia) is celebrated on 21 January will not change, and it falls on a Friday this year.

Wednesday, 26 January, is the Day of Juan Pablo Duarte, the nation's founder, will be a normal working day and the holiday will be moved to Monday 24 January. This year, Independence Day, 27 February, falls on a Sunday, and will not affect the working week. Good Friday, during Easter Week, falls on 22 April this year.

Labor Day in the Dominican Republic is on 1 May, which falls on a Sunday, and will therefore be held on 2 May. Corpus Christi will be 23 June, a Thursday and will not be changed. Restoration Day, 18 August, falls on a Tuesday and will be celebrated on Monday. The nation's other traditional holidays, September 24, the Day of Our Lady of Mercy, Constitution Day, 6 November, and Christmas Day, 25 December all fall on Sundays, and there are no further changes in the work calendar.
