Josefina Disla, the interim presiding judge of the Appeals Court in Santiago de los Caballeros, has ratified the coercive measures against Adriano Roman and the other six people involved in the attempted murder of journalist and lawyer Jordi Veras on 2 June of last year. The defendants were initially ordered to 12 months of preventive custody by the judge for Permanent Attention Agueda Garcia.
