Blackbeards and Hotel de Adventura

Is Blackbeards and Hotel de Adventura actually one and the same? I have been looking at photos of each at their respective websites and the building and pool layout almost look identical except for the fact that the photos were taken from different angles.

If you look at the pictures they sure do resemble each other. Both are two story white buildings with arches, the pools look the same, the roofs are the same color. Open up both websites and compare. It sure had me fooled. I raised this question because someone on another board claims to have been there and that they are the same place.

I have been to BB, but not Aventuta. I looked at the pictures they don't look similair to me. Archtecture is fairly similair around there, so don't go by that, I saw a lot more trees and that in the aventura photos.

well what can i tell ya. many on this board have been to both and thay are different. Black beards is in Costambar http://www.blackbeardsadultresort.com/images/map1.jpg and hotel Aventure is about a hours drive east, east of Cabarete http://www.aventura-hotel.com/

i've looked at the photos too and black beards appears larger. the grounds of the Aventura are fairly small.

Black Beards has been around for years and the Aventura has only opened relativley recently.

What do they say, "You live and learn". If things go as I wish I will be down next month. First trip I want to do 3 nights at Adventura, 4 nights in Sosua, and last 2 nights to be determined upon arrival. Although this will be my first trip to DR I like the proximity of Adventura to Sosua. This way if I enjoy Adventura I can double back for my last 2 nights.

I have to go and post a message on another board that the information is inaccurate.

You're welcome :) Black beards is worth going to also, especially if you are around the last weekend of the month. That's when they have the bikini contest!

I have been to Blackbeards but not Adventura so I can't compare but I had a blast at BB's!! The girls were amazing, very friendly and beautiful, worth a visit in my books.
