A man who was suspected of having narcotics in his luggage told DNCD and CESA agents at Las Americas International Airport that he would get the keys to open the suitcase from his car and "be right back". The agents are still waiting.
On further examination, the suitcase that was to accompany the passenger, Gonzalo Casado Lopez, to Madrid, was found to contain 15.75 kilograms of a white powder suspected of being either cocaine or heroin. So far, according to El Nuevo Diario, none of the agents has been detained and the officers have limited their comments to saying that this was just a normal case.
