Thousands of flights to and from the eastern United States have been cancelled due to snowstorms, many affecting travel to the DR. Flights to Atlanta, Boston and New York have been affected.
The US Weather Service announced that the storm would be the worst snowstorm so far and is expected to dump as much as 12 inches of snow on NYC through Wednesday. Delta Air Lines announced the cancellation of about 800 flights scheduled for Wednesday, in addition to 1,700 flights for Tuesday. American Airlines said that roughly 335 flights into and out of the three major NY airports would be cancelled on Wednesday. This is the third snowstorm affecting the region in three weeks.
