President Leonel Fernandez is scheduled to travel to Switzerland and India as of 24 January.
In Switzerland he will attend the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (Davos Summit) from 26-30 January. The theme this year is Shared Norms for the New Reality that reflects the concern of many leaders that the world is becoming increasingly complex and interconnected and, at the same time, experiencing an erosion of common values that undermines public trust in leadership as well as future economic growth and political stability.

President Fernandez then will travel to India for meetings with the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi during the first week of February. During his visit to India he is due to visit Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore where he will hold meetings with business leaders. His schedule also includes a meeting with film industry executives in Mumbai.
