The Guloya theater group, known for its excellent performances, is organizing a benefit to raise funds for repairing their roof. The drama, "El 28" is based on short stories in the "Mis 500 Locos" book by Dominican psychiatrist Antonio Zaglul. The play was nominated for three Casandra awards in 2010, as Best Theatrical Performance, Best Director and Best Actor of the Year. The play is directed by Claudio Rivera with performances by Viena Gonzalez, Cinthia Almonte, Micky Thomas and Claudio Rivera.
The benefit will be held at the larger auditorium of Casa de Teatro on Arzobispo Merino Street in Santo Domingo's Colonial City on Friday, 14 January at 8:30pm.
