I am supposed to stay there this weekend. It would be nice to know if it is open and still chica friendly. I sent a email several days ago to confirm everyhing but never got a response.

I'm betting that since they're having problems negociating a new contract with the italian cunt that owns the place, they've taken their expertise and pulled the plug on her. She doesn't strike me as being very smart anyway.
And, if she's being a jerk on negociating a new contract, why should they make it easier for her. They're the ones who have done all the work.
I'm also going to guess that if you show up there, you will still be able to get a room.

I love how people rent a place in the DR and make a nice business then the property owner get jealous and thinks they can take over and start fucking everything up and ruins the shit. Then they wonder what went wrong.

I was down in Boca Chica a couple of weeks ago. From what I heard, the Italian Lady owner has returned. The guys who leased the hotel supposedly owe her somewhere around $30,000 (don't quote me on the price) but this explanation is from a reliable source.

Boca is not that good these days. If you want a tourist town then I recommend Sosua

I'm not surprised. There never seemed to be a real businessman in charge of things there.

Beads, my friend,

I've seen it happen so many times here, I can't even remember them all.

There's a name for it.. Stupidity..

Whoa, I just saw the posts that came up while I was writing this one. If they owe and ain't payin', that's a different story.

But it still doesn't negate the dozens of times I've seen owners kick out successful rentors, just because they think they can do it..

I was in Boca January and it kinda sucked. Girls are little more rough on the edges. I ventured out to Santo Domingo. El Conde Street is off the hook.

There are two sides to every story, even three in DR!
I met Abbey briefly and he seemed like a super cool guy.
Anybody that has stayed there raves about their hospitality and attention to detail.

yea El Caucho has to be the only place in the DR I have never heard a bad review about.

If they owed moneys to the land owner you cant blame them for wanting to collect. who knows the truth we probably never will but another good place bites the dust.Hopefully Abbey and crew open another hotel for us.

What do you think about getting a hotel directly on the conde?

I may head to SD in October. I would stay somewhere in that area.

I think El Cheeno reported that he has stayed on El Conde and enjoyed it.

I know that the management at El Caucho fixed the place up a TON. I wouldn't be surprised if the owner now wants to reap the benefits of the renovations etc. . . . .similar happened to lou with the old NY Shark Bar on the beach. . . .

There are 2 sides to every story and somewhere in the middle probably lies the truth.

Ok fellas, whats the next best option on where to stay,I booked the EL Caucho for the end of Sept, because I heard they were the B.B of the south.I got totally fucked by staying at the Hamaca, this past June.I only had my meals there and fucked all night at the Costa Lunga.Mind you I wasnt impressed with the Costa at all,but they were the closest to the Hamaca.Guys ...Mr Happy what or where would you suggest...Thx for the help

MrHappy
08-31-2006, 03:40 PM
If you weren't impressed with Costalunga, I would go with El Candil, or Don Emilio, on the beach.

No, wait... Hotel Garant may be the ticket for you. If I'm not mistaken, they charge 35 per night w/o A/C, 50 with.

Probably the cleanest hotel in Boca Chica, and they're only a block and a half from the strip. They have a small quiet pool, and serve breakfast too.

Other than that, there's not that many options, my friend........unless you want to consider one of the many guesthouses that are around BC. I can't vouch for them, but I'm under the impression that most of them either don't have hot water, or A/C, or cater to a certain group....

why donīt you ask directly to Abbey who is still an active member on I.S.O.C, Iīm sure he can give an explanation...

30,000 us could be easily made in 3 o 4 months, however from what I know...and I know whatīs going on in BC...the story is very different!!

As I live here and never gave a review of El Caucho, I suggest to contact Abbey directly...He still reads this forum!

we would LOVE to hear what Abbey has to say. El Caucho is the ONLY hotel in the DR I have never heard a bad review from anyone about. It has to be impossible to make everyone happy but that hotel had only great reviews and nobody ever chimed in and disputed it. He had to be treating people quite well. I cant imagine him throwing in the towel at this point.

Please say it isn't so... I stayed at ElCaucho last winter and had a great time. I was planning a return trip this coming winter. I hope that this situation changes and that we can get some information directly from Abbey and Francesco.

Personally I really like Costalunga. I like the rooms, the pool and never had any problems there. It is quiet and 100% chica friendly. I even prefer it over El Caucho for the distance to the beach and Duarte. It's also very close to the Casino if you like to gamble. I'll be there next week, when will you guys come into town? I never stayed at El Candil, but it looks very nice from the outside. I think Costalunga is a few bucks cheaper.

Back from the DR. We stayed at the El Candil and had a wonderful time. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Hung out with the chicas in front of the house across the street just kicking it. Boca Chica is cool. Met some cool folks and had a good time. Plenty of great Chicas around.

I think at this point that it would be safe to say that El Caucho as we know it is done for the moment. It might be wise to make other arrangements.

Didn't even go by El Caucho. I couldn't get in touch with anyone before we left so we stayed a El Candil. The manager there was a guy Piettre(SP?) He was very accomodating and helpful and made sure we were happy and didn't have any problems.

I stopped by El Caucho on my latest trip and was told by the Original Owner that the past people who managed the place (Abbey, Francesco, Danielo) have defaulted on payments thus she decided to give them them the boot and run the place for herself.

It has the same onsite workers as before, but the rooms cost 5-10 dollars more..It seemed to have a more European feel, and a bit older crowd.. I thought that they were attentive and nice to me and the onsite girls were decent in looks.

I stayed at El Candil last weekend too. No problem for me, the better half and her friend, other than the fact Maria, the daytime girl, forgot to tell the afternoon guy that I had the two girls checked in with me.
Other than that, everything was fine.
Sorry to say I didn't go by the Caucho either.

It could have been.

We spent some time in the pool. I'm 6'4", 275 lb. guy, and they are both about 5'5", 110 lb. and both had itty bitty bikinis.

Due to problems with management we are not associated with the hotel.

Too many bad issues have happend to I.S.O.C members and so we are not longer at the hotel and we'll never be!

We are looking for something else...and we will post on I.S.O.C accordingly.
Merry Christmas!
