Thieves in the Blue Mall movies

Two thieves were filmed during a robbery of the ticket offices at the Palacio del Cine in Blue Mall, Santo Domingo's newest upscale mall located on Av. Winston Churchill. As reported in Hoy, the Saturday evening moviegoers never knew a robbery had happened. The thieves entered as normal customers and even purchased their popcorn. They waited for the cashiers to prepare the accounts for the evening and then moved in. As reported in Hoy, the authorities said that the cashiers and the guard were held up at gunpoint and asked to hand over the afternoon and evening receipts. As reported in Diario Libre, the Police say they have "very good leads" to the robbers. Investigators say at least three people were involved in the robbery.
