The Chamber of Deputies approved the Organic Law of the Higher Electoral Court yesterday, accepting a modification proposal that established the court with five judges. The legislation will return to the Senate where it will be approved this afternoon, according to Listin Diario.
Senate president Reinaldo Pared Perez has said that the proposal was freed from further readings and a consensus has been reached for passage of the bill. In the meantime, the legislation on the Organic Law of the Constitutional Court will go to a special commission where the opinions of experts appointed by President Fernandez will be heard.
