I've enjoyed both my trips to Blackbeard's. Last October, ending my DR trip at Blackbeard's made up for my less-than-satisfactory performance in Sosua. (But I enjoyed the scuba-diving in Sosua Bay, where Blackbeard's scuba trips hit the water too.)

BB's is a good way to start the trip for me--a little mild before the wild I say. It's a good way to break in a rookie before you show him the independent streets of Sosua also. Now it's a good way to get a few numbers for backup while in Sosua. I usually fill a day with one or two from there when I stay the whole time in Sosua. Try to catch them on their day off from BB's or after hours so you don't have to pay the salida to get them to Sosua.

I'll be there next week, starting Wednesday night and I'll plan to send in a report. I am flying into Santiago, renting a car and staying there for eight days. Now I know many think this is way too long, but having a car allows me to do some outside touring and eating. I also plan to do some volunteer work with Weyland and the project he is supporting in Puerto Plata. On different days I plan to do some day trips, maybe to Jarabocoa and Rio San Juan. I'll also spend some time in Sosua and evaluate the scene there. I'm also planning to spend part of a day at Ocean World in Confresi and do some snorkeling in that big tank they have. I've stayed at BBs and enjoy the relaxed, but STIMULATING atmosphere. I also like the quietness and simplicity of the beach at Costambar. When I visited last year, the second day I was there they graded the road into Costambar which may then ins and outs a whole lot nicer. I've sent my request in again, but am afraid it was more about lucky timing.

The "shipmates," as they call 'em, stand "afternoon watch" from about 11 AM to 6 PM, then the evening crew takes over till about midnight. In keeping with normal shipboard watch-standing schedules, the chicas alternate between afternoon and evening watches, with the mamasan taking care of scheduling.

Contrary to normal shipboard scheduling, there is no "dog watch" at Blackbeard's. :corky:

As you can see, judging the bikini contest can be very demanding.

Yeah, that would have been me. But I was not then (nor am I now) an experienced judge. Having seen numerous contests and witnessed the "demands" placed on the judges, I simply do not have the courage to assume the mantle of a judgeship. Westy, you're a better man than me.

decent accommodations

a very party like place
some of the hottes chicks encountered all week were at blackbeards.



my wing and myself along with some other regs there couldnt get over the quality of the chicas. i am not talking just the hot factor but also good service providers as well. we wernt sure if the crackdown in sosua was a factor in the number of dimes there but we sure werent complaining.

funny thing, typically a really hot chick is lazy bad in the sack. not so this time. some of the hottest were the hottest.

good time had by all. the four nights at blackbeards eclipsed the three in sosua by far

my wing and myself always like to do 3 or 4 nights at bb's for the r and r factor then on to sosua for a wild time.

sosua, while still fun, and things being different, seemed more desperate than ever. tons of upselling. have to think on it some as to why bb's jumped up there so much more. if it was the chicas or sosua dropped out that bad.

the hotness and quality of the chicas at bb's is better by far than ever. i dont think there was a fatty in the bunch. the new mama-son even goes as far as having a weigh in for the chicas. looks like they have a commitment to the standard they have reached

That has always been my experience there too. People can say all they want about BB""s being point and click, but I never really saw going to Merengue Bar as any less an exercise in fishing in a barrel. The only difference is that there are no negotiation headaches, a comfortable hotel and bar right there, and all energy can be devoted to planning your next imaginative way to get off. Anything you want to try, ask and you will probably find a willing accomplice.

And about the fatties. .. actually, I wish they had a few from time to time.I always find girls to my taste there, and there are a few I really like hanging around with that are fun to spend time with. But Variety is everything. After you are with the usual hot chicks, sometimes you might want a different body type. Most might consider former mama san Luchi a fatty . . . she was one of my first girls with that body type and I enjoyed being with her. She is not really fat, but compared to the other chicas, she is older, bigger, and really big breasted. ( For those who know, does she count as BBW, or does the chica have to be a lot heavier? )

FOr me, mongering is about experimentation. Doing in many ways, things you might not do at home. Big mama jammas, pregnant chicks, huge breasted girls, Bring them on. Viva variety. Viva Barba Negra.

I've never found that either shift was consistently better than the other - it just depends on your preferences on that particular day.

Sometimes I like to ease through the day and wait until the sun goes down. Other days, I love the smell of punani in the morning. It smells like....victory!

Actually it smells like punani, but that doesn't sound as cool.

I completely agree. Plus the coffee is free all day long. And if you get tired of BB's, Pasqual's on the beach has great fish, and there is also a good italian place. Both are 5 minute walks from BBs.

The drive is about 30 minutes drive more or less depending on the rtaffic and the speed of your cab driver ( once I had a very slow one that took 45 minutes with no traffic).
They do not have rooms available if the rooms are all booked from clients that are staying there the night, but you can always take the girl out paying a salida fee ( I think it's $1500 for the night) on top of the girl fee ( 1500 for short term, about two hours, or 3000 for the whole night).

short time is max 1500 pesos and overnight 3000 pesos.

they may or may not have a room. bb's has 21 rooms i think, and they try to keep things booked but occasionally have rooms available. however, if no rooms are available simply take the lil gal back to the jacuzzi and bang her back there. they will do it. gladly

there are also rooms available nearby that they will hook you up with at the front desk

blackbeards has good food. i dont think there was anything i had in 4 days there that i didnt think was top shelf. they really do have a good chef there

well, i did have the filet mignon. it wasnt bad, dominican beef i am thinking. but for the cost, was a very good value

the best though, get the smoked pork chop. absolutelly the best

I ate most of my meals there during my 9 night stay and absolutely loved it.
From the French Onion, Sanconcho soups. To the Dominican Breakfast,Hamburgers,steak,and fish. Everything was prepared well and tasted great. The chef did an outstanding job.

You'll have to taxi into SD to the Caribe Tours or Metro terminal and grab a bus there.

They take you into Puerto Plata, and from there, get a taxi to BB. I think you'll find that the money saved really isn't worth it.

The owner of Blackbeards is absolutely anal about trying to make everything right, in a country where the more "right" you do, the more "wrong" everything gets.

During the year I was running the place, we went through something like 5-6 chefs.

I bet he's been through a couple dozen more since then.

There's a reason why the place is always full.

I just came back from a 4 day trip at Black Beards. Yes, there is a great bunch of chicas there now.

The first photo of this thread is a pic of Roni, in a blue bikini. WOW. Nice girl, cute face with not much make up, and a truely unbelievable chest. I sessioned with her minutes after arriving. I complemented her saying that I couldn't see any scars from the breast implants. She replied, "I'm 19. They are all natural." I'd forgotten how hard young boobs can be. She also said that she doesn't have any kids (probably and only one there) so they haven't had the life sucked out of them yet.

I haven't been there in 6 months so there were a few upgrades to the place. I tried the Tex-Mex fajitas, new to the menu, and they were great. They sell "vitamins" at the front desk so you don't have to walk to the pharmacy if you need them. Also, they are selling copies of Rosetta Stone Spanish 1&2 at a great discount. The new shading over the hot tub was nice too.

All in all, another nice mellow trip to Blackbeards.

I just came back from a 4 day trip at Black Beards. Yes, there is a great bunch of chicas there now.

The first photo of this thread is a pic of Roni, in a blue bikini. WOW. Nice girl, cute face with not much make up, and a truely unbelievable chest. I sessioned with her minutes after arriving. I complemented her saying that I couldn't see any scars from the breast implants. She replied, "I'm 19. They are all natural." I'd forgotten how hard young boobs can be. She also said that she doesn't have any kids (probably and only one there) so they haven't had the life sucked out of them yet.

I haven't been there in 6 months so there were a few upgrades to the place. I tried the Tex-Mex fajitas, new to the menu, and they were great. They sell "vitamins" at the front desk so you don't have to walk to the pharmacy if you need them. Also, they are selling copies of Rosetta Stone Spanish 1&2 at a great discount. The new shading over the hot tub was nice too.

All in all, another nice mellow trip to Blackbeards.

I 2nd that about Roni.. She was my Favorita too on my visit in Jan.. Best Natural Breasts I have seen hands down. I loved the in my face....SHe is a sweet gal, Hope she is there when I get back...

Also, it always feels good to see that last newsletter just before an upcoming trip and sucks to see the one after the trip while having DR withdrawals. I'm looking forward to my two days there 3/16-3/18. If I'm feeling generous which is not often I may have to drag a chica to Sosua when I leave BB's, but only on her day off from BB's cuz I don't pay the salida.

I was there last weekend and notcied that there was also a new roof or something over the jacuzzi. Also the Wifi has improved, before you had be in the lobby, and this time I was able to recieve wifi to the dining area and by the pool. Still not sure if I got any in the rooms since I did not check.

The Crows Nest Bar hosted "Dante's Inferno" Birthday party during our 56th Ms. Universe Contest. This group of Pirates were first timers and they were here to celebrate Dante's Birthday. Mildred won again for her FIFTH time and Alex finished second. The party included copious amounts of special champagne, a big cake and a special "In Your Face" Dance for the birthday boy!! Overall . . . a pretty damn good Pirate Party!!

El Capitan Couldn't Take The Pressure . . .

(no pun intended) . . . and had the maintenance crew remove the old 1h.p. pumps and put in two new 2 h.p. pumps!!

Several weeks ago, El Capitan had the A-B-C building painted and after refilling the treasure chest, he called Tony the Painter and had him come back and paint the main building.

The latest issue was just released. They have a regular format and keep it simple. Whenever someone reads (and looks) at the whole thing, it is pretty successful. The photos are always nice and the writing solid and entertaining. I also like the honesty about requesting those who stay there to help manage the cost by turning off the air-conditioning when not in the rooms.

I have stayed at BBs many times and always have a nice experience. Naturally, the fantasy in the newsletters does not always measure up to the actual sea-faring experience. However, more often than not, the experience delivers and I book another cruise. BBs and Passions are the two places that appear to know their market well . . . one of the primary principles of good public relations and eventual delivery of product. Others in Sosua, Puerto Plata and other places would do well to take notes.

BBs and Passions offer a great product/experience to the largest group, those who can afford a reasonably priced and quality product. I believe they will continue to find success as long as they stay on course. If they get to fancy or go to high-end in their pricing and product, they will say "Good-bye" to this large group. However, it appears that both are wisely staying the course . . . and finding success in doing so.

I have been visiting Blackbeard's about every 2-3 months for some time now, and just completed my most recent stay in mid June.

Every time I visit, there are invariably a few girls who have parted ways with BB's, and some new ones on the roster to take their place.

On this most recent visit, I noticed more turnover than usual. Gone as of less than 3 weeks ago are Carolina, Margarita, Lily Beth, Antonia, Alexandra, Norvalis, Yaritza, and Marie Esther.

Some of the numerous new faces include LaBeba, Madeline, Janet, Estefani, Ruby, Ledi, Karina, and about two others whose names I cannot recall. Also, a friend of Chantal's was interviewing for a job on the day before I left, and might possibly be a member of the roster as we speak.

If you see some chicas there with a T-shirt that has a combination of a stripper pole, Brugal bottle, beach scene and DR flag with a bull on the sleave and back it's one I designed for a trip down there. There's a meaning and message to the shirt.

You can hang out there all you want, they have a restaurant and bar. However the girls are really meant for the guests. You can take out the girls but they put a big salida to prevent people from taking girls out of there. I never have, but I would think you would have to take them back to where ever you are staying, and cab ride for her to return to BB's unless you have a car. It just doesn't make sense unless you stay there.

I try to make it there on Saturdays for the bikini contests whenever I am down there, and it falls on the weekend. On any other day, the best time is between 4-6pm because it is when the day shift and night shift switch and there is a plethora of putas.

Unless you had one on payroll they wouldn't sit and hang out, but rather congregated by themselves off in a corner of the pool area, away from the bar. That seemed to kill the mood a lot for me, as I have a lot of interest in the personality of the girl, not just what she looks like.

Another thing that I noticed about BB's was that while they did have a lot of very hot girls (I considered about 30% of them 'hot', 50% 'meh' and 20% 'dear god no', to each their own.) The best ones were always completely wifed up with regulars for the entire time i was there. So with 10-15 girls on site at any one time during the week, and the top 5 hottest ones off the menu for my entire stay, it soured my mood for the place a bit.

I get the newsletters regularly and they claim that improvements have been made to the WiFi and water supply (very low pressure, and almost non-existent hot water while I was there), and I can attest that they were even making improvements while I was there, so I might stop by for a few nights during my next trip to see if it changes my mind about the place. This is an interesting topic. When I went on my first trip to Blackbeards, back in January, I found that after I would do a session with some of the girls they would insist on meeting with me the next day. If I enjoyed the session I found it difficult to decide. Usually I just told them "I don't know. Maybe." During the daytime I did short times with many different girls.
