The famous Ambis I nightclub in Santiago de los Caballeros has closed its doors permanently, according to owner Santiago Polanco. One of the premier tourist spots for nightlife and dancing, Ambis was seriously affected by the Presidential decrees that reduced the hours of sales for alcoholic beverages. Polanco talked to television commentator Jose Gutierrez, and he said that for 20 years Ambis I had opened at 11pm, closing in the wee hours of the morning. Polanco said that he was tired of fighting the effects of Decree 380-06.
