Vargas Maldonado pre-candidacy formalized

Former PRD presidential candidate Miguel Vargas Maldonado has formally registered himself with the PRD Convention Commission. The PRD primary to choose the party's presidential candidate in the 16 May 2012 presidential election will take place on 6 March. Vargas Maldonado paid the RD$1.5 million registration fee and submitted other requirements. Vargas obtained the No. 1 slot on the list of pre-candidates for the primary.
