The best Dominican students can apply for scholarships to 12 local universities sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education. The scholarships are being offered for the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), Universidad APEC (UNAPEC), Universidad Pedro Henriquez Urena (UNPHU), Universidad Catolica de Santo Domingo (UCSD), Universidad Catolica Technologica del Cibao (UCATECI), Universidad Central del Este (UCE), Instituto Superior de Agricultura (ISA), Universidad Tecnologica del Sur (UTESUR), Universidad Psicologia Industrial Dominicana (UPID), Universidad Dominico-Americano (UNICDA), Instituto Tecnologico de las Americas (ITLA) and Instituto Especializado de Estudios Superiores Loyola (IPL). The courses are civil engineering, chemical engineering, electromechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architecture, agronomical engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, informatics, education, medicine, dentistry, nursing, bio-analysis, medical imaging, tourism, hostelry, English, French, Mandarin, robotics, mechatronics, networks, psychology.
