The Ministry of Foreign Relations and the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Egypt has secured seats for five Dominicans on a Mexican organized flight taking Mexican citizens to Athens. Protestant priest Aneurys Vargas, his wife and two children, and minister counselor Andy Rodriguez are on the flight were mentioned.
Dominican ambassador Gabriella Bonetti has worked to help Dominicans leave Egypt since the civil unrest erupted several days ago. Embassy counselor Sarah Moquete and her mother will also leave on Thursday. Another Dominican, Domingo Bello is being assisted by the Embassy of Serbia because his wife and daughter are Serbian nationals.
