View Full Version : Anadegas protests high fuel prices

The gasoline retailers association Anadegas has claimed that the government is violating Hydrocarbon Law 112-00 and raising prices higher than is stipulated in the law. The president of Anadegas, Rafael Polanco said that premium gasoline should cost RD$132, and premium diesel RD$122. He said that in 2008 when a barrel of petroleum was at US$145.31 premium gasoline was sold for RD$208.8 a gallon, regular gasoline was RD$199 and diesel was RD$194, as reported in Listin Diario. The Ministry of Industry & Commerce has been consistently increasing fuel prices. Fuel prices for 29 January to 4 February were set as follows: premium gasoline RD$182.90, regular gasoline RD$172.80, premium diesel RD$162.60 and regular diesel RD$157. Propane is RD$93.80.
