Public Health pushes forward vaccination campaign

The Ministry of Public Health has announced an earlier starting date for the vaccination campaign that seeks to administer more than five million doses of vaccines to fight polio, tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, hepatitis, the AH1N1 flu, measles, chickenpox and mumps. Public Health Minister Bautista Rojas Gomez told reporters that although the tradition startup of the National Vaccination Campaign is in April, the possible effects of the earthquake in Haiti was the reason the health authorities decided to push forward the starting date.
