Flights to US cancelled again

The huge wave of snow and ice storms blanketing most of the East Coast of the United States forced the cancellation of more than 5000 flights nationwide and some 1500 flights into the New York-New Jersey Metropolitan Area yesterday. According to Hoy newspaper, American, Delta, Continental and Jet Blue all cancelled flights. Hundreds of passengers with reservations were forced to return to their homes. Some flights were able to take off before the storm worsened, and Delta was still scheduling an afternoon flight.
