The Toros del Este learned the hard way that there are no easy victories in the Caribbean World Series. After leading the game by a score of 3-0, they managed to lose in 15 innings by a score of 4-3 to the team from Mexico, who tied the score with two outs and two strikes on the batter in the ninth inning. The Toros' leading closer, Julio Manon, threw a pitch that ended up in left field and which brought home the tying run. Mexico used 11 pitchers on their road to victory. Mexico, represented by the Yaquis of Obregon will take on the host team from Puerto Rico, the Criollos from Caguas, today, and the Toros, representing the Dominican Republic will play the Caribes de Anzoategui, representing Venezuela.
