Well I was thinking that we need in the future to add everyplace just to have it. Europe would be just one catagory and there will be minor activity. Carribean would be another area as well. There are boards for Costa Rica, Asia and a few other areas as well but we may be able to build around them. These are just thoughts now.

It would be a smart move.... eventually you should start adding some ads etc. There is no reason the various hotels etc shouldn't be buying banners that go over the top of the forums.
Have a look at UtopiaGuide for an example of banners... they make some interesting money that way.

I second that.....Just look at the money this site has brought to the sosua area this month. That money would not have been spent if not for this site. SEE THE FOREST NOT JUST THE TREES

You could also do some trade out for the advertisers (part cash part trade) and tie it in to a big blow out once or twice a year.
If the places need websites we can arrange them and get someone to outsource with some extra going to the site's income... covers hosting and improvements.
You would be surprised who will be interested. If they want to track the traffic etc. I can help get them up to speed on how they can see where they are getting customers/visitors from etc.
We could also offer services to set up ecommerce for other people related to the site so they can get deposits etc. like John and some others have already in place.
If it is done right there may even be some chance of getting bulk airfares and other things organized. I can make some inquiries into this... might be a cool add on to services people get here as a member etc.

Advertising revenue is ideal when you have traffic or a niche site like yours. I am well under way of getting over 100,000 unique hits per month on one site alone and decided to launch a advertising section myself. There is only upside potential from here. It will pay off at the end. Good luck to you guys. PM me if you need any help. I do this kind of stuff and run a handful of other businesses all at the same time.

We can turn this site into an information machine! Let the forums run as we have so people are comfortable and then we can put the information in categorized sections on the web site!
