The CDEEE has released the findings of the Fourth INTEC General Confidence Index on the perception of having received fewer blackouts in 2010 than in 2009, as reported in Hoy. The perception of improvement is 13%. In 2009, 62% said they had not received more power in 2009 than in 2008, but for 2010, the perception is 49%. Although the CDEEE recognizes the system is still fragile and there are still blackouts, it confirms that 10% more power was served in 2010 than in 2009. Supply in 2010 was 12,473 GWh compared to 11,529 GWh in 2009. The CDEEE says that people who do not pay for the service or commit fraud against the system and a need to improve transmission lines are reasons for deficiencies. Confidence in the system is 57.52%, up from 47.01% in 2009.
