The Ministry of Higher Education is announcing openings for scholarships to study at the Western Michigan University and the Michigan State University in the United States. At WMU there are scholarships for undergraduate studies in chemical, electrical, systems, industrial manufacturing technological manufacturing, mechanical engineering. Also in physics, statistics, media studies. There are scholarships for graduate studies in computer, mechanical, electrical, industrial, manufacturing engineering. Also in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, communications, economy, university administration, statistics, educational technologies, educational leadership.
At the MSU, there are scholarships for studies in: food administration, biochemistry and molecular biology, biology, natural sciences, farming and environmental sciences, chemistry, physics, physiology, civil engineering, computer sciences, bio-systems, electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering, mathematics, microbiology, advertising, chemistry, communications and media and veterinary technology.
The scholarships cover tuition, books, food and board, labs and international medical insurance.
Applicants must have Dominican citizenship, a grade average of 3.0 or 80 points minimum, a 550-point Toefl score, and will have to pass university admission tests.
Applications must be completed online at www.seescyt.gov.do (http://www.seescyt.gov.do) from 9 February to 4 March.
