Cubs announce academy

Chicago Cubs owner Tom Ricketts has announced plans to expand their training facilities in the Dominican Republic. Ricketts said they intend to purchase a large plot of land to build a new academy for training the stars of tomorrow. During his visit to the DR, Ricketts attended the funeral of the mother of player Alfonso Soriano, as reported in El Dia.
