Santo Domingo East wants more taxes

Following the example of the National District city council, the mayor of Santo Domingo East is seeking approval for his city council to increase municipal rates by 30-35%. These taxes are levied for the construction of houses, commercial centers, parking, gasoline stations, movie houses, discotheques, hotels, and other commercial buildings and apartment buildings.
