Dr. Cuello Mainardi passes away

Philanthropist Dr. Luis Cuello Mainardi passed away at his upscale clinic Corazones Unidos on Friday afternoon. The clinic that he founded treated the elite, but he is recognized for his efforts to provide quality medical treatment to patients who could not afford it by organizing visits by international physicians and trips abroad through the Corazones Unidos Foundation. Born in Santiago in 1929, Cuello Mainardi studied in Puerto Rico and did postgraduate studies in France. He was one of the founders of the foundation along with the late TV host Freddy Beras Goico and doctors Chang Aquino and Ludovino Sanchez.
