The Anti-Narcotics Police have arrested a 10-year old boy in possession of 177 grams of marijuana and the National Drug Control Department (DNCD) detained a drug distributor in Villa Duarte. Diario Libre also reports that the DNCD arrested Jose Rafael Gonzalez Guante, 35, a repeat offender of Law 50-88 on the control of drugs and dangerous substances. This man has four incidents for the same offense on his rap sheet. The minor was arrested by the Los Topos Unit during an operation in the Las Canitas sector in the upper part of the capital. The drug seizure is the largest ever from a child who cannot be prosecuted due to his age. The child was used to carry the drugs for a man known only as John or El Flaco.
